Who is Hospital Pathology Associates?
Hospital Pathology Associates (HPA) provides pathology services to various healthcare providers in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is the largest pathology private practice in Minnesota. Our highly skilled, seasoned pathologists and professional staff have a broad base of expertise not often found elsewhere.
Our experienced team of pathologists examines and assesses biological specimens to help healthcare providers diagnose and guide treatment. Biological specimens are tissues or bodily fluids gathered during medical appointments or lab visits. Our physicians and staff are non-patient-facing and care for patients behind the scenes in our laboratories. As a workflow coordinator, you will be an essential member of the workflow and patient care team.
Position Overview
Workflow Coordinators are the primary organizers and distributors of glass slides emanating from the Histology, Cytology, and Hematology laboratories. After receiving the slides, the Workflow Coordinators organize, prioritize, and distribute patient cases to pathologists, facilitating an orderly and efficient workflow using “Lean” processing principles. The position involves an extensive utilization of electronic medical records and familiarity with medical terminology.
